Fortis posts ₹2735 crore in Q2 FY27, profit dips 2.5%

Revenue of Fortis’ hospital business grew 18.6 per cent YoY to Rs 2,340 crore, while PAT fell 1.1 per cent YoY to Rs 284 crore. Occupancy rose slightly to 72 per cent in Q2 FY27 from 71 per cent last year.

Healthcare is not a cost-plus model, govt needs sensitising: Suneetha Reddy

Speaking at the company’s second quarter earnings call on the recent regulatory changes on the healthcare sector, Reddy said “We need to continue to sensitise them (the government). They are looking at it in terms of the costs of cancer medicines or consumables. But it’s not a cost-plus model. It’s a model where the entire service is delivered and the costs are attached to it."

Manipal bags Gurugram land lease for new multi-speciality hospital

The healthcare major said it had entered into a long term arrangement with Thakral Corporation structured as a long-term land lease for an initial period of approximately 30 years. The first phase of the proposed hospital is expected to have up to 500 beds.
